Dodgerz and Chukwudi Mbanusi, a set of twins who grew up in Enugu, South-eastern Nigeria, were part of their local church choir as children, but didn t take music seriously until they were in their early 20 s. Empire explains, we started writing songs in our heads, and it took our interest in music to another level. Then I started playing the Piano to broaden our horizons even more." Soon afterwards ,they formed a music Duo and began performing at local Joints around Coal city. Jong Dodge recalls "I wasnt interested in anything I was doing other than music, and I loved the wide-openness of my life."


‪‪‬‬Recording in a Friend's mini studio and playing the songs for their friends, Empire & Jong Dodge saw the genuinely excited reaction from them. "Two friends heard the songs, and even though we were all broke, they approached us and we pooled our money to airk the songs on the local radio stations . Now churning out Songs in earnest, the duo was gathering skill as a songwriters, taking their influences, like mariah carey, notorious B.I.G, Joe, Jay-Z & T.I, and using them to shape their own style." They grew up with a lot of 90s Hip hop and RnB. Empire explains, "our Big Cousin used to play KC and Jojo all the time. We naturally gravitate to that kind of sound; there is a warmth and timelessness to it that we have always loved. Jong Dodge describes their own music as fun and youthful while at the same time signifying deep meaning. " Hip hop is about stories. Some of those stories can be meaningful and still be fun. I never choose a song that I can't relate to in some way, shape, or form. Our music will always reflect who we are."

‪‪We're music designers," Jong Dodge says. "If music is a way to communicate with people, we're almost like scientists," he continues. "Some people make software applications. Drama movie writers write a story that can make you cry. We're designing something that will uplift people spirits"‬‬

‪‪With Twin Effect, the duo's major label debut album on Tumbom Records, Empire & Jong Dodge demonstrates a rare ability to fuse the "feel" and "vibe" of classic R&B music with the edgy flavor of hip-hop and Afro Hip-hop(hence the tittle twin effect of hip hop and RnB). BOOGIE MAN - ROCK UR PARTY FT.DOUBLE K

Iyenemi Tyger (born 28th Of February 1984), who performs under the mononym Boogie Mann, formerly Damage is a Nigerian afro artist, born and raised in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State in the southern part of Nigeria .Boogie Mann was part of a record label called Tuck Tyght that was established by Henry Diette Speiff in the year 2000, The label facing the challenges of the Nigerian Music Industry at that time worked inevitably to produce a group album called NOW OFFICIAL, The album played a great role in enlightening all the artists in the label (which were at that time really young about 15-17) to all the facets of the music business such as Production , Mixing & Mastering , Sound Engineering, packaging & distribution , this experience would change his life forever .

Early Life

Boogie Mann was born Iyenemi Tyger in Elekahia Housing Estate, Port-Harcourt .His Father is a chemical engineer and businessman .His mother was a sales woman that sold African attires .He has three siblings, a brother named Afonya, Ibioku & his step elder brother that died in 2002 of Hyperthiesis and while his family lived in Rumoumasi, Port-Harcourt he would rhyme and make sounds with his mouth at age 11, being inspired by Michael Jackson. He loved listening and dancing to music that he got a lot of attention when he got into secondary school in Federal Government College, Port-Harcourt. He had a drive and passion for music that he would have to make a tough decision later in his life.

Career

His career officially started in 1998, when he started performing Karaoke’s in his school social club activities; He performed songs by other artists like Notorious Big (Sky is the Limit) and other popular acts by that time .he immediately moved on to join the Tuck Tyght record label in 1999, he wrote songs like Roll, More to Life, Game Of Life, Suffer Market and Jump On Me, these tracks where very likeable tracks in the album. Faced with the challenges in the business such as having equipments, resources and pressure from his family to finish his education, he stopped active recording and started a Software Engineering course in NIIT, which he finished in 2006, his plan was to raise funds to start his own record label .Which he finally did by September 2010 in collaboration with his long time friend Orbeat who is a multitalented producer and they started work on his debut album titled Play Theory. They have concluded the project and are currently promoting the singles of the album, the album has a popular single title ROCK YOUR PARTY. So far they have been working endlessly to rollout the album which is highly anticipated.

About Kahli Abdu

As part of the growing scene of artists in Jos, Kahli Abdu started his journey in 1996, becoming part of the group "11:30", later becoming "Eltophelli" (together with Jesse Jagz, now of Chocolate City Records) in 2006.

Kahli then moved to the U.S in 2005 and met with Chief Willis (of Basement Batman) and later with producer Kid Konnect. With the beats they provided, Kahli recorded several songs, which ended up, on his first mixtape "The Grind Theory". A few years later, he put together his second mixtape "Ministry of Corruption", and shortly after, he started and compiled his "Rebel Friday" Season 1.

Kahli has worked closely with other artists like M.I (Illegal Music, MI2, Illegal Music 2) and others. He is also the founder of the Republiq Records label and under the label, would be looking to progress in the music industry, as well as produce, manage and collaborate with other artists.

About Kid KonnecT

Kid KonnecT (Kunle Oluwadiya) was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He fell in love with music at a young age, listening to reggae and classical music owned by his father which help set the foundation for Konnect to learn the basics of composing music.

In 2001, Kid Konnect left Nigeria for the United States to pursue a degree in Business Economics.

While in school, KonnecT was introduced him to music production software, FL Studio, dedicating himself to mastering the program in and out to produce industry standard beats.

After a few years, a little buzz started to circulate around his name among the local scene in North Carolina and a few ears in the Nigerian music scene took notice.

As for now, Konnect is still out creating quality music and making a name for himself.
