Despite his newfound success, OG’s career in music was completely happenstance. In 2008, he went from doing “all the stuff that’ll land you dead or in jail” and freestyling on the block to laying down a track in a recording studio on a whim. OG has been able to cultivate his fanbase and engage new followers all organically with direct to fan mixtapes and a diligent street team. With no promotion or radio support his YouTube views have reached over 1.5 million views in just over a year. His first track “All I Got” featuring King Azz Star generated 200,000 YouTube views upon release and solidified OG’s place in Memphis’ hip-hop scene.
Known best as the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll and for its deep blues roots, Memphis also has a budding hip-hop scene-a very competitive one at that. Although Memphis has spawned mainstream hip-hop artists like Three 6 Mafia, trying to move up through the ranks in a fragmented scene is a challenge, but one OG rose to. Growing up in a rough neighborhood prepared him for the struggles ahead. Instead of letting haters get to him, he channeled that negative energy into motivation to keep pushing forward with his craft.
Armed with raspy vocals and brutally honest lyrics, OG has positioned himself for success. Hosted by The Empire, the 20-track mixtape unfolds like an autobiography, illustrating his triumphs and setbacks alike. While there are tracks about girls, guns, hustlin’ and cars, OG is also not afraid to get introspective.

Although he came from the hood, he knows there is more out there and wants others to know the same. OG hopes his music will inspire people struggling like him to realize that they can better their situation.

RODRICK SOSA FT. BLAC BOI & FREDDIE J - TURNED UP
Rodrick Anthony, known in the music industry as “Rodrick Sosa a.k.a Rod Tha Future” is ready to claim his throne in the hip-hop and pop industry. Always having been close to music, he developed a strong passion for it at the age of 16. But his word play and energetic lyrics don’t tell the story of the 22 year old rapper. Similar in style to artists such as Drake and Andre 3000 of Outkast, Rod has always stated that he wants people to feel his music when he speaks. He wants to tell you the story of his life, how he perceives himself, and how he will stop at nothing to get to the top.
Rod was discovered by some executives who had heard about him locally through the streets. People were saying that there was this young artist by the name of Rod who had lyrical flows not usually heard by a person of his age. I guess one could say that he was ahead of his time. He had heard of the label known as 2-Tears Entertainment because all the local hot talent was signing with the label and their movement in the streets and in the industry had been like none other every seen before. All Rod needed was that chance that he dreamed for. Little did he know that the chance he wanted was about to come true.
In February of 2009 2-Tears Entertainment threw a private listening party in Atlanta for label executives to witness the start of the brand new label who was about to take over the industry. Rod was featured on one of the songs by another 2-Tears artist who was performing that night. When his opportunity came he definitely did not disappoint. In fact, everyone in the crowd was so ecstatic about what they had witnessed that the label executives at 2-Tears Entertainment offered Rod a contract that very night after he got off stage and he accepted. The two sides both knew that great things were about to happen.
Bringing up his energy filled songs on a constant basis, Rod began releasing singles to let people know that an official mixtape was on the way. He first released the feel good anthem “Big Big” which became a local hit around the Atlanta area. He then stepped the game up with the release of “Punchin Bag”. It had clubs going crazy and you could tell his growth as an artist. In late 2010 he released his first mixtape under his new 2-Tears label entitled “I Am The Future” which was just a start to his growing success.
After months of dropping single after single, Rod decided to take his maturity and growth as an artist to another level. So in January of 2012, Rod went into the studio with fellow label mates Blac Boi and Freddie J and created the smash hit “TURNED UP”. Rod wanted everyone to see his range as an artist and he knew with this song it could take him and his label to new heights. It was deemed an instant hit song by everyone who heard it and continues to grow to this very day. Rod is just getting started, so everyone TURN UP!

KAHLI ABDU PRESENTS "LITTLE BROTHER": Controversy Or Sibling Rivalry?
Once again, Republiq Records recording artist, Kahli Abdu releases a new record, this time, off the highly anticipated joint Kahli Abdu + Kid Konnect “The Bandits” EP.
The track, “Little Brother” which was leaked some time back, finds Kahli Abdu discussing the sensitive nature of his relationship with Chocolate City recording artist, M.I Abaga, leading most to speculate about possible grievances between the two. The single follows a similar train of thought with Kanye’s “Big Brother” track, as Kahli talks about his experiences creatively with M.I, saying in one of his lines “This is house cleaning, imma put our laundry out..”
“Little Brother” is definitely a track to listen to, hopefully providing some insight into the more personal side of Kahli Abdu
Kahli Abdu + Kid KonnecT: The Bandits EP
The much anticipated joint EP from Kahli Abdu and acclaimed producer Kid KonnecT is finally around the corner. With a fixed release date of April 13th, fans would be able to enjoy the EP as a prelude to Kahli Abdu’s official debut album “Rebelution” which is scheduled for release later this year.
About Kahli Abdu
As part of the growing scene of artists in Jos, Kahli Abdu started his journey in 1996, becoming part of the group "11:30", later becoming "Eltophelli" (together with Jesse Jagz, now of Chocolate City Records) in 2006.
Kahli then moved to the U.S in 2005 and met with Chief Willis (of Basement Batman) and later with producer Kid Konnect. With the beats they provided, Kahli recorded several songs, which ended up, on his first mixtape "The Grind Theory". A few years later, he put together his second mixtape "Ministry of Corruption", and shortly after, he started and compiled his "Rebel Friday" Season 1.
Kahli is currently working on several projects including his debut album “Rebelution” that would be out this year in addition to the already released tracks Survivor Ft. Lindsey, Vampires and Stuck With You off his on-going "Rebel Friday" Season II.
Kahli has worked closely with other artists like M.I (Illegal Music, MI2, Illegal Music 2) and others. He is also the founder of Republiq Records label and under the label will be looking to progress in the music industry as well as produce, manage and collaborate with other artists.

ELINEE RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE: AZONTO DANCE FEAT. SAMKLEF
Robert Mawuli Awudey aka Elinee, is a Ghanaian born singer/rapper and songwriter. Formally known as Osinifour, with the group Ankonam rebels, he has enjoyed numerous live stints in Ghana with varying talent hunt trophies and awards. He’s emerged winner of Mega-Rap King competition in Upper Volta Region where he hails from in Ghana in 2001 also coming 3rd in Nescafe African Revolution in 2005
Elinee moved to Lagos and in 2007 got signed unto C9 Entertainment, he dropped a single titled “Pooze” which was well received by the Nigerian audience and got massive air play, until it was later withdrawn due to vulgar lyrics. However, this would not stop the hard working Elinee, who has been aiming for greater heights.
Developing himself as not just any other rapper, Elinee has been able to create a fine blend of rapping in his native twi dialect and English, as well as adding a few Nigerian languages to set his mark, this gave him that home grown love which he currently enjoys and he never stops to thrill with his versatility.
Ever since coming to the entertainment capital of the world Lagos, he’s been working hard with a lot of producers and artist just to get his perfect blend of Hip-hop, Hip-Life music, which is his natural genre. Elinee has worked with the likes of Abel Dahvey, David Mel, Terry G, Wazumbi and Samklef just to mention a few.
In 2011, his wave making single titled “Trouble” featuring Ricoslim (aka R.I.C) was produced by Samklef, it got massive rotation on Nigerian and Ghanian airwaves thus carving a niche for the melodious-fast rapper. Elinee has since been in the studios putting finishing touch to his album and working with other acts such as Kaha, Emmsong, Vector, Rico Slim, Tinny, Dammy Krane, Asase Aban, Ochman just to mention a few. Also LKT, Daddy Showkey, Femi Jubal are a few of the artist he’s featured with.

He was born in the late '80s as Samuel Chinonso Chuks in Enugu state, Nigeria. Samist also known as Hero is the 8th out of 9 children. He was born into a music loving family. He started doing music professionally in 2006 but like a lot of other artistes, he started singing at a Very young age. He played in church with group of guys but they didn't have his kind of Enthusiasm so he left the group to pursue his solo career and he quit his job that same year to face music fully. His role models are Akon, Tuface Idibia, Majek Fashek, R. Kelly and Donnie Mc Clucking. His genre of music is a fine blend of reggae, trance and techno .He not only ventured into singing, but he also started music production and sound engineering.
His greatest inspiration comes from God, kids and the things that people go through in their everyday life.
He released his first single 'All My Paddy' as a solo artiste in 2011. The song was an anti- corruption song that advised the youths not to be used by politicians as agents of social ills and the video was also out not too long after. The single was directed by him alongside a co- director James d'Enigma . He is presently working on his album titled 'Your Hero'. He's new single was released on the 10th of march and it is titled '#Free Me', & it has gained a lot of acceptance on the internet and on local fm's across Nigeria
So get ready for the comeback of the Hero himself!

Born in Benin City, Nigeria, Ebedoz (Ebere Udeozor) has had a love for music from early childhood.
Despite facing numerous obstacles along his path, Ebedoz used them as fodder to his passion and drive to realize his dreams. From participating in local gigs to singing at the local church, Ebedoz eventually joined a musical group where he further polished his craft.
After moving to Canada, Ebedoz became a finalist at the Peace Country Idol singing competition in 2005 in Alberta, and shortly after, moved to Toronto.

GAISE - real name, Gboluwaga Akinade IBUOYE - is an Afrofusion artiste signed on to Sanctified Records. The 25-year old Ekiti state native had his high school education at King’s College, Lagos before proceeding to Obafemi Awolowo University to study Economics and soon after graduating, he became a professional music artist in 2010.

Jeffrey is an R&B singer and a choreographer, whose early influences include R&B king R. kelly, dancer/singer Usher, Nigerian sensation 2Face Idibia and many more. ABOUT TEETO CEEMOS
Teeto Ceemos - real name, Toyin Tito Salako - was born and raised in Lagos in the early 80's. He fell in love with rap music in the early 90's after being surrounded by it throughout his pre-adolescent years. By the time he graduated from secondary school, Teeto was fully immersed in Hip-Hop music and the culture, even briefly forming a now-defunct rap group called Knights Of The Turn Table.He moved on to further his education in the University of Lagos where he became a revered battle rap legend. He eventually dropped his first mixtape to critical acclaim from audiences in and out of his university. Little did he know that this would be the prequel to his involvement in the Channel O/Sprite Emcee Africa competition in 2008, where he emerged as Nigeria’s winner.
He then proceeded to Johannesburg for the grand finale where he emerged as runner-up after squaring off with acts from Kenya, Tanzania, Angola, Ghana & South Africa. He returned home and moved on to develop himself as an artist and as fate would have it, he teamed up with Knighthouse’s Mo’Cheddah & Sauce Kid to record one of the biggest songs in 2009, “The Finest”. His first single "Oshamo” featuring Capital Hill Artist and Producer Tha Suspect had a cultural/homegrown vibe to it and was a flagrant display of the rapper's versatility which did quite well on charts and still gets airplay on local TV and radio stations till date.
In 2010, his team (Freshboy Entertainment & Cash In Records producer/Artist Ex-O) teamed up with Soundcity Blast to release his Da Freshness mixtape which was widely accepted by fans and critics alike. Teeto also recently released another Freshboy/Knighthouse collaboration titled "Footprints (Kami)" which features the amazing Iye on vocals with production from Knighthouse in-house producer and Red Bull Music Academy alumni, DJ Klem.
