KONGA's real name LAWAL OLALEKAN OLUMO. He was born in LAGOS, NIGERIA
on the 9th of JANUARY. however, he is the C E O of FUNKY MONKEY
ENTERTAINMENT. He is naturally endowed and talented atmosphere charger.
Moreover, he started his musical career as a street freestylist in EBUTE
METTA/ LAGOS ISLAND.
KONGA started up his career at a very young age.Basically the style of my music is uniquie and classic, In other words thelauguage is called "ENO LAUGUAGE'' which is generally used by LADIES way back from BADAGRY mostly, It was a coded way of speaking when you don't
want other's to know about your conversation. Furthermore, he Started up
with performances such as INDOMIE GROOVE under the auspices of LARRY KAY
EVENTS in UNIVERSITY and POLYTECHNICS all over NIGERIA.
KONGA has been able to make headway with various COLLABO such as "JA WON SI" Ft 2FACE IDIBIA, X-PROJECT "LORI LE"OLU MAINTAINl "JEDI JEDI" BANKY W "EBUTE METTA'' MR KOOL "BOOGIE HOOGIE FEVER" PRINCE ADEWALE AYUBA, ABASS OBESERE, MORACHI, SAHEED OSUPA , JJC & 419 and many more.... And various Live performances such as 1st edition RYTHM UNPLUGGED, GUINNESS EXTRA SMOOTH LAUNCHING ,NIGERIA INDEPENDENT CONCERT sponsored by BEN TV UK, KONGA and FANS live in DUBLIN e.t.c.
KONGA's first Album KONGA H2O hits the stores in 2003 and topped
so many charts with hit songs "BABY KONGA, JEJE, JAWON SI, SHETI GBO, and
many more" KONGA is a very young and talented artist who is ready to give
back to the music world, What he has gained from them. he believes in
consistency and working hard to build a solid reputation, outstanding body
of work that hopefully will outlive him. KONGA I hopes to use my music to
reach out to the public and young ones as I have always do.
