FRESH is a NIGERIAN rapper born TEMITOPE YAKUBU on the 28th of January 1984 in CHICAGO, U.S.A. He been rapping from high school in the states owing to his great love and admiration for rap music. Artistes like JAY-Z, NOTORIOUS B.I.G, CAMRON, NAS and TWISTA were influential in his choice and style of rap.
FRESH returned to NIGERIA in 2008 and released his two singles ‘TOO MUCH MONEY ’ featuring late rapper DAGRIN and ‘ARAMBADA’ featuring AK. The videos to the songs were shot by DJ TEE. After the success of ‘TOO MUCH MONEY, FRESH released a mixtape titled ‘INTOXICATED sober state of mind’ in a bid to strike a balance between Nigerian rap style and American fast paced style he was used to.
FRESH returned to the United States in 2010 to spend time with his young family and also continue work on his yet –to be released debut album tentatively titled ‘BREATH OF FRESH AIR’. The first single of the upcoming album ‘BAWO LOSE JE’ featuring EXO has been released with the video to the song shot in Chicago .
