ILLUMINATOR's real name is KALU PIUS, from UGWUEKE, in BENDE Local Govt., in ABIA STATE of NIGERIA. Gospel music in Europe will never be the same again. Thanks to the entrance of the initiator of Gospel Swagger, NIGERIAN born Gospel artiste based in Spain (ILLUMINATOR). His unique voice, scintillating lyrics and highly rhythmic beats, bring a fresh flavour to the traditional Gospel Music.
ILLUMINATOR has succeeded in blending the NIGERIAN-style Hip-Hop and Highlife with the inspirational rendition of Gospel Music to create a tastier and more universally acceptable Genre: Gospel Swagger. He electrifies his audiences with the spell-binding freshness of his style of music. He intends his music to be enjoyed both by Christians and non-Christians, to be played in churches, night clubs, etc, intending to evangelise the world by so doing.
The hit track NARA (featuring SUCCESS – Alias EASY BOY), from his first album, Gospel Swagger, is currently topping the gospel music charts in several countries in Europe. The fast-paced and highly danceable track, produced by ace producer McLevit, from McLevit Audio-Visual Studios in SPAIN, is accompanied by equally state-of-the-art video clip that has been playing across several television stations both in Nigeria and international.
ILLUMINATOR has won the heart of his fans with both his music and stage performances. In just a few months since his debut in the music industry, The ILLUMINATOR has plied his trade far and wide due to high demands. He has performed in big events in Spain, Italy, Belgium and recently Holland, to mention but a few.
He has also been dubbed the Gospel Highlife King by many of his fans due to his special adaptation of Highlife into Gospel music. This trained Electrical Engineer left the lucrative lighting business to pursue his passion – music. He is currently preparing for his Europe tour by the end of this year.
