DON JAZZY - launches MAVIN RECORDS

MICHAEL COLLINS,  a.k.a DON JAZZY has has launched a new record label called 'MAVIN RECORDS”.


DON JAZZY, who recently split with business partner and cofounder of MO'HITS records, also announced the label has signed TIWA SAVAGE while WANDE COALDR SID and D'PRINCE will join the new label from MO'HITS.

The multiple award winning producer broke the news of the debuting label via twitter saying: “‘Hey people. Need your help on this one once again. pls help me tell a friend to tell a friend. #MavinRecords God bless’

The new label is set to storm the music industry with its first compilation album; 'SOLAR PLEXUS', set for release on May 8th.

In the same vein as the previously released Curriculum Vitae by the MO'HITS All Stars, Solar Plexus will exclusively showcase the musical talents of the MAVIN RECORDS crew.

The renowned sound mixer, James ‘LeRock’ Loughrey, was one of several international collaborators used in perfecting the sound of the album and has predicted that the album will be “huge.” Work is also at various stages for all the individual solo albums with release dates to be announced soon.

Meanwhile, since the dissolution of MO'HITS fans have waited with berthed breathe to see what the future holds for DON JAZZY. However,The producer would rather forge ahead than hold on the past.

I know that there are questions unanswered, mysteries unsolved and wounds to heal,” he said. “But I would really appreciate if we allow time to heal the wounds for us all instead of digging them up again.”

“I love and respect the press and bloggers a lot and believe they will play a major role in healing our wounds and allow the forward movement. I would love to thank everyone that contributed in making MO'HITS records as successful as it got.

“We wouldn't have done it without you all. The love and support you have given us thus far is definitely not in vain. You all helped create international superstars and none of us will let you down.”
